Bruce Springwood, the singer-songwriter, has become a regular guest on the UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter” television series, and he’s got a lot to offer.
The popular rocker has become an expert in rope exercises, as he was the first to show up in the fight season as an official competitor in the upcoming season.
Springwood recently told MMAjunkie that he does battle rope as part of his training regimen.
“I’ve been doing it for a couple of years, so I’m a big fan of it,” Springwood said.
“I try to get my fighters to do it.
I just try to be creative.
I try to find a way to make it work for them.
There’s a lot of different techniques, but the most important thing is you can have a good technique.
You don’t have to be a master of anything to do a good routine.”
As part of the “Ultimate Fighter” season, Springwood will be a part of an eight-man card on Fox Sports 1.
Springwood has yet to make his UFC debut, but he will compete in the season’s first round when he meets Nate Diaz in a heavyweight bout on Oct. 3.
